I am a professor of anthropology at a community college where I teach courses on culture, world music, racial and ethnic identity.  In 2016 I began wearing kimono as my daily teaching attire.  This blog is a collection of thoughts, experiences, and musings.  In addition to kimono, I am a student of Japanese traditional music (shakuhachi and shinobue).
